Assault victim says he inflicted injuries on himself !

Mangaluru, July 16, 2017: There has been an interesting twist to the case of assault on 30 year old Aboobakker of Kuppepadavu at Edapadavu recently. Though Aboobakker who was hospitalised had initially  told the police that he was attacked by  some people who came by a bike, he  had later made contradictory statements.

However when thoroughly grilled by the police he revealed that he had  inflicted injury on himself using a blade in order to escape from  one Salam to whom he owed Rs 36,000. Aboobakker is a stone loading, unloading worker.

DGP R K Dutta has   presented a cash award and certificate to Bajpe Inspector T D Nagaraj and his team for  cracking this case which was supposed to be  a repercussion to the  Bantwal incident.
