Assault on bus driver by owner sparks tension in Kinnigoli

 Kinnigoli, Mar 12, 2014 :  Bus services towards Kinnigoli were affected for some time  following a clash between a bus owner and a driver at Kinnigoli on March 12, Wednesday morning.

 

 

It has been gathered that  Durgaprasad Shetty, owner of Laxmi Janardhan Travels who is also the President of Kinnigoli Bus Drivers and Owners Association, attacked  Hassan, a driver of a bus belonging to Adi Janardhan Travels. Sources said Shetty had in fact waylaid the bus which Hassan was driving.

The driver who reportedly lost control over the vehicle hit it against a two-wheeler belonging to Shetty making matters further worse. The situation cooled down later with the  intervention of Mulki police.
