As liquor shops open after a month; long queues outside outlets

Mangaluru, May 04, 2020:  A large number of people are seen queuing up outside wine shops in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts on May 4, Monday to purchase liquor, following the state government  permission to open liquor outlets  during  the third phase of the lockdown with many relaxations.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The liquor shops had remained closed for almost a month due to the lockdown. On Saturday, th Excise Department had issued the order as per which liquor shops will be open from 9 am to 7 pm from May 4 onwards.
