Mangaluru, June 22, 2017 : Adressing the media on June 22, Thrusday ADGP Alok Mohan said that, the police acting on the tip tip of in formatiom and  formed four teams to arrest the accused in brutal murder of SDPI Ammunje  unit President Mohammad Ashraf at Benjanapadavu on  June 21,Wednesday.

He also said that  additional responsibility of ensuring adequate security arrangements in Bantwal taluk and also to maintain peace and order have been made. While admitting that the recent untoward incidents have been a challenge to the Department he reiterated that no scope would be given for such incidents in the future.


A special police team has also been deployed from Chikkamagaluru,Udupi and Karwar to maintain peace in the district . When questioned about the protest to be held on June 24 in Bantwal, Alok Mohan said, We don’t have any idea about the protest. Till 27 June we have imposed section 144, with the section 144 in place, more than 5 persons cannot gather in one place. Relegious functions won’t be effected. Action will be taken against the guilty.
