Army recruitment rally at M’bidri August 5 to 12

Moodbidri, July 29, 2014:  Army recruitment rally is  scheduled to be held from August 5 to 12; Deputy Commissioner A B Ibrahim visited Vidyagiri in   Moodbidri  to inspect the arrangements made.  Speaking to the media,  he said that the state- level army recruitment rally will be held in Moodbidri for the first time. The rally was held in Mangalore in 2010. All those who are within the age group of 23 yrs,  from 24 districts will take part in the rally.

He appealed the youth from Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts, to turn up in large numbers. Stress will be given for transparent selection process. Any kind of pressure from the side of candidates will not be entertained, he said.

Registration, health and fitness test will be held on the first day of the rally and token will be given to the candidates. Next day, running test will be held and the short listed candidates will receive token to enter the next round. The candidates belonging to 12 districts will have to write written test in Bangalore on August 31 and the rest of the candidates will have to write test in Mangalore.

Mangalore division Army recruitment Director Col Vishwanath said that 11 Army officials and more than a hundred staff will conduct the recruitment process in Vidyagiri.  Minister for Youth Empowerment, Sports and Fisheries KAbhayachandra Jain, Sainik Welfare and Rehabilitation department Joint Director Prakash, Assistant Commissioner Dr Prashant, Alvas Education Trust President Dr M Mohan Alva and others were present.
