Ariyadka Gram Panchayat Member ends life

Puttur, Dec 04, 2023: A Gram Panchayat Member from Ariyadka has ended his life by hanging himself at his house on December 3 when other members were asleep.

 

The deceased is Shankar Madannur, a Congress supported GP member. He was a resident of Kavu Banglegudde in Madannur village. It has been learnt that he had purchased a site by availing loan five years ago but was worried as he could not repay loan. Frustrated over this, he reportedly has ended life.

His wife has lodged a complaint at Sampya police station.
