Anti-Naxal Force begin combing in Western Ghats after Naxal’s visit forest areas near Sampaje

Mangaluru, Feb 4, 2018: Police from Dakshina Kannada, Kodagu and Anti-Naxal Force began combing operations in the Western Ghats on Saturday following reports on sighting of naxals in the forest areas near Sampaje bordering Dakshina Kannada and Kodagu on Friday.

The police said that some residents of Sampaje noticed movement of three armed personnel in the forest on Friday.

The Kodagu Rural police have taken notice of the same and have sent a team of personnel for combing.

A team from Dakshina Kannada and ANF also joined the exercise, the police added.
