Another incident to disrupt peace: Youth brutally attacked near Krishnapura

Mangaluru, Dec 10, 2014 : Krishnapura near Suratkal was tense on December 9, Tuesday night after a person was brutally assaulted  by three bike bound assailants. The incident took place at around 8.30 pm  when Arif (30), a resident of Krishnapura 4th Block was on way home after alighting the bus.

 

 

As the news of the attack spread like a wild fire, people gathered in large groups and police had to resort to lathi charge  to disperse the crowd.

The police later in a swift action arrested one of the accused near Madhya. Senior police officials including Police Commissioner R Hithendra are at the spot to oversee security arrangements. The Commissioner has said prohibitory orders under Section 144 would be implemented if the need arises. He also stated that the situation was under control at present.
