Another Kambala racer breaks Srinivas Gowda’s record

Mangaluru, Feb 18, 2020: After Kambala sensation Srinivasa Gowda of Mijar in Moodbidri, another Kambala star has come to the forefront. He is  Nishanth Shetty.  If Srinivas Gowda had covered a distance of 100 meters in 9.55 seconds, Nishanth has managed to break that record by clocking 9.52 seconds.

 

Nishanth hails from Bajagoli Jogibettu and he broke Srinivas Gowda’s record at the Soorya-Chandra Jodukare Kambala at Venoor. Nishanth who is the racer for the buffaloes owned by Hosabettu Gopalkrishna Bhat clocked 13.61 seconds for 141 meters which comes to 9.52 seconds for  100 meters.

Srinivas Gowda who  had created his record at the Aikala Kambala on February 1 had covered 142.5 meters in 13.62 seconds, with Kambala lovers even claiming he has broken the record of world’s fastest runner Usain Bolt in 100 meters.
