Anil Kumble at Nehru Maidan for selection of cricket team

Mangaluru, Jan 9, 2015: Ace spinner and former Indian cricket captain Anil Kumble  is in the city on January 9, Friday to select  the Mangaluru cricket team. Kumble will select a total of ten budding cricketers from Mangaluru  to be part of the team.

Kumble was accorded a warm welcome by city Mayor Mahabala Maarla at the Nehru Maidan.

 

As many as 2800 budding cricketers from the state have registered their names. Of them  200 are from the city, 600 from Hubli and 2000 from Bengaluru. The  final round of selections will be in the capital on January 18.
 

Srikanth, President of the Dakshina Kannada Cricket Association and others are present and the selection process is underway.
