Anand Shenoy at Fumetto International Comics Festival

Mangaluru, Apr 03, 2019 : Anand Shenoy Basti has been invited to attend the prestigious Fumetto International Comics Festival to be held in Lucerne, Switzerland. It will be held between the 4th and 16th of April, 2019.

 

Anand is one of the few Indian comic artists who have been invited to Fumetto.

He is the part of two panel discussions pertaining to emerging Comics scenario in India.

He is a graduate of Fine Arts from College of Fine Arts at Chitrakala Parishath, Bangalore.

He started Pagal Canvas, a collective of talent of comic artists, along with his then classmate Mohit Mahanto.

Under Pagal Canvas, he has published over 25 comic books in the last two years.

He is the winner of Pogo Amazing Kids Award under Artists category, in 2008, when he was 12 years old.

His work was exhibited at Student Biennale at Kochi-Muziris Biennale in 2016 held at Kochi.

Anand lives and practices his art in New Delhi.

He is the son of filmmaker Dinesh Shenoy Basti and Shobha Shenoy and the grandson of Vishwa Konkani Sardar Sri Basti Vaman Shenoy and Kumble Shankar Nayak (former Professor of Indian Statistical Institute, New Delhi)
