Anand Shenoy Basti for Swiss comics festival

Mangaluru, March 31, 2019: Anand Shenoy Basti has been invited to attend the prestigious Fumetto International Comics Festival that is being planned at Lucerne, Switzerland, from April 4 to 16.

Shenoy is one of the few Indian comics artistes who have been invited to Furnetto. He is a part of the couple of panel discussions pertaining to emerging comics scenario in India.

He is the son of film maker Dinesh Shenoy Basti and grandson of Vishwa Konkani Sardar Sri Basti Vaman Shenoy. He is a graduate in Fine Arts from the College of Fine Arts at Chitrakala Parishath, Bengaluru.

Shenoy won the Pogo Amazing Kids Award under the artistes’ category in 2008, when he was 12 years old.

He started Pagal Canvas, a collective of talent of comic artistes, along with his classmate Mohit Mahanto. The collective helped publication of over 25 comic books in the last two years.
