Anand Ameen bags gold medals in Swimming

Mangalore, 26 January 2015: Syndicate Bank employee Mr. Anand Ameen Bengre has continued his trailblazing track record of winning gold medals in swimming pool by coming first in two events in 14th Invitational Age Group Interstate SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIP 2014-15 held at Suvarna JNMC Olympic Size Swimming Pool, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC) Campus, Nehru Nagar, Belgaum on Jan. 24 and 25.

Ameen, a veteran wrestler and swimmer, won both the gold medals in 50 meters free style and 50 meters Breast stroke in closely contested swimming events.

Belgaum Swimmers’ Club and Aquarius Swimming Club in association with KLE University, Belgaum and Rotary Club of Belgaum organized this mega swimming event sponsored by Shri Kiran Jadhav. More than 300 swimmers from Maharashtra, Goa and Karnataka participated.
