Mangaluru, April 08, 2020: The Coastal Security Force has strengthened security along the coastline of the district in order to see to it that no one enters Karnataka through the sea route from Kerala.
The measure has been taken in the backdrop of high number of Coronavirus cases reported in the state of Kerala. Even Kasargod district has several Corona positive cases.
Round the clock patrolling is done by the interceptor boats of the Coastal Security Police as reaching the district by the sea route using boats from Kerala is easy, says Coastal Security Police SP R Chethan.
Though no one from Kerala is allowed into Karnataka, as of now, ambulances carrying patients for emergency treatment are only allowed.
