Amenities distribution to needy under Urban Poverty Alleviation on Mar. 7

Mangaluru Mar 5, 2016:  Mayor Jacintha Vijay Alfred  has informed that  Amenities distribution programme for the beneficiaries under MCC Urban Poverty Alleviation will be held on March 7th at Town hall.

Speaking to the Press at MCC on March 5, Saturday, she said that the Mangaluru City Corporation will make all out efforts to provide basic amenities like road, drainage, water facilities and street lights.

 Under the MCC Fund and State finance commission SCST will be benefited with 24.10% of its fund, while 3 % of funds will go for the welfare of the disabled. Nearly 60% of fund will be benefited for community development programmes, she added.

The amenities distribution programme will be jointly inaugurated by District in-charge Minister Ramanatha Rai and Urban Development Minister Vinay Kumar Sorake. The function will be  presided over by Mayor Jacintha Vijay Alfred.
