Alvas Nudisiri Concludes

Moodbidri, Nov 9: An awards ceremony at which 10 people who had contributed generously to the state and its language were honored and awarded marked the conclusion of Alvas Nudisiri 2009. 

The chairman and president of Alvas Nudisiri, Dr. M Mohan Alva and Dr. Hampa Nagarajayya, respectively, along with Cinema Director Nagathihalli Chandrashekar, conferred the awards. Shri Jagadguru Thontada Siddalinga Mahaswamiji of Shri Jagadguru Thotadarya Mutt in Gadag presided over the valedictory programme. 

The Nudisiri Award winners are Dr. Sarojini Mahishi, Dr Sudhamurthy, Rangakarmi Prasanna, Dr. B A Sanadhi, Dr. C R Chandrashekar, Dr. Jayamala, K Govinda Bhat, Pro M Ramachandra Karkala, Prof K P Rao, and Nadoja Sukri Bomma Gowda. 

The award comprises a citation, a memento, and Rs 10,000.
