Speaking on the occasion, Manipur former minister and executive board member of North East Zone Cultural Centre Dr Nara Singh said politics divides people whereas culture upholds the unity among mankind. Education should nourish such cultural activity and culture for peace should be everyone’s slogan, he advised.

"Peacefulness is characterised by cooperation and harmonious conduct with a view to secure all-round development of the country," he said and added that a world deprived of peace and harmony certainly will return to the jungle era where the strong prey on the weaker sections of the society. In this backdrop, the international community has to keep nuclear weapons away from the war, which is really destructive to mankind.

Presiding over the programme, Alva’s Education Foundation trustee Vivek Alva said, "Youth can create wonders, if they are nurtured in cohesive environment."
