Aloysius students stage street play on ill-effects of Netravathi Diversion

Mangalore, Mar 22, 2014: A street play on the drastic consequences of the Netravathi river diversion project was enacted by students of the Department of Mass Communication, St Aloysius College at the college campus on March 21, Friday to mark International Forest Day.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The dangers of the project including  water scarcity, threat to bio-diversity, ecological imbalance etc were highlighted in the street play.

Students raised several slogans like ‘Save Netravathi Save Life’ on the occasion.

The initiative of the students has been widely appreciated.
