Aloysius College organizes peace march to protest against violence

Mangalore, Mar 10: The Human Rights Cell, the Center for Social Concern, Al-Madhyam, the Humanities Association, and AICUF of St Aloysius College, Mangalore organized a peace march from the college to the DC office on March 10, Wednesday, in order to enhance public awareness.

The purpose of the march was to protest against the recent attempts to disrupt the harmonious atmosphere of the city. The students hoped to draw the attention of the public to various attempts made by anti-social elements to disturb the peace of Mangalore. The participating students silently expressed their concern at the ways in which these unsavory events were creating fear and suspicion in the minds of the common people.


The students who participated in the march displayed banners and placards. They maintained strict silence during the entire march. They also performed a street play in front of the DC office. Later, a memorandum was submitted to the DC.
