Alleged abduction of nun : Kadri ASI suspended for delay in accepting complaint

Mangaluru, Mar 19,2015 : Kamala, the ASI of Kadri police station has been suspended by city Police Commissioner S Murugan for the  delay in  accepting the complaint with regard to the alleged kidnapping and manhandling of a student nun at Pumpwell during broad daylight in the city. The incident had reportedly taken place on March 16.

Sources said when the victim had approached the Kadri police, both the Inspector and SI were absent.

It is  said the ASI who was present did not accept the complaint but asked the victim till the arrival of the inspector further traumatising the victim who was already in a state of shock.

The victim later informed the matter to the higher officials following which the Commissioner has now initiated disciplinary action against the ASI.
