All 3 accused in Bhasker Shetty case remanded to judicial custody

Udupi, Aug 17,2016 :    All the three main accused in the sensational  Bhasker Shetty murder case were produced  before the  court here on August 16. All the three have now been remanded to judicial custody till August 24.

If Bhasker Shetty’s wife Rajeshwari has been lodged in the women’s cell of the district jail  in  Mangaluru, Shetty’s son Navaneeth and  priest Niranjan are  lodged in the Hiriadka prison.

It has been gathered that none of the accused have applied for bail so far.

Praveen Kumar, Public Prosecutor in the case  said the DNA tests are likely to be done on August 18 and the blood samples of Bhasker’s mother and brother will be taken and matched with the pieces of bones which the investigators have found in Palli river.

In case the DNA samples match then it would be considered as a crucial evidence against the accused, he said.
