Airport bomb scare : Suspect had planned to target Kadri shrine too ?

Mangaluru, Jan 21, 2020:  Investigation into the case wherein an explosive device was found at the Mangaluru International Airport premises on January 20, Monday, has been  intensified.  Police are questioning the driver of the autorickshaw in which the suspect had travelled. Meanwhile it has been  gathered that the suspect  had even  intended to go to Kadri Manjunatha Temple.

 

 Sources revealed that the accused had come by bus upto Kenjar and from there had  taken another vehicle  to plant the bomb at the airport. He later walked upto Kenjar where he  boarded an autorickshaw  which had dropped another person in the area.

It is learnt the suspect asked the driver if he would come to Kadri temple. However he did not agree to pay the  amount mentioned  by the auto and travelled in the vehicle only upto Kavoor.

The autorickshaw driver has reportedly told the police that the  suspect spoke in Tulu and  also had a bag with him while returning.
