Ahead of Maha Shivarathri, thousands of devotees trek to Dharmasthala.

Mangalore, March 8, 2024: Dharmasthala Pattadhikari D. Veerendra Heggade to inaugurate Shiva Panchakshari chanting programme at the Pravachana Mantapa in front of the Temple at 6 p.m. on March 8

On March 7, Thursday, over fifteen thousand devotees journeyed to Dharmasthala from various parts of Karnataka on foot, with a similar number expected to arrive on Friday. The Dharmasthala Manjunatha temple anticipates a total of over one lakh devotees for Shivarathri.

Arrangements have been made for boarding and lodging for more than 10,000 devotees at the SDM Educational Institutions campus in Ujire. Additionally, 30,000 devotees have pre-informed the Sri Kshetra about their arrival by foot.
