After a long gap, DK, Udupi receive good rainfall

Mangaluru, Oct 12, 2016 : The city of Mangaluru as well as several parts of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts received quite good rainfall on October 11, Tuesday, which also happened to be Vijaya Dashami , the final day of Dasara festivities. Rains also brought some reprieve from the otherwise scorching sun.

At the same time, the rains brought some amount of apprehension that it may play spoilsport in the grand culmination of  Mangaluru Dasara celebrations of Kudroli Sri Gokarnanatha Kshetra as well as Navaratri festivities of Mahatobar Mangaladevi Temple.

However, that did not dampen the spirits of the people who participated in  the Dasara Shobhayatra with great zeal.
