After a brief break, rains across coast again

Mangaluru, Aug 13, 2019:  Rains which had subsided across the coast  on August 12, Monday has picked up momentum again with various places across Dakshina Kannada and Udupi district experiencing good rains since Monday night.

Mangaluru, Bantwal, Subrahmanya, Moodbidri, Belthangady are experiencing good rains. However, the intensity has reduced. There is orange alert as of now in the district.

In Udupi district, Udupi town, Manipal, Kaup, Kundapur, Shirva, Kollur and Karkala are receiving good rainfall.

Schools across the two districts have reopened today after four continuous holidays on account of heavy rain last week.
