Actress Padmaja Rao says “Chaali Polilu” has brought her closer to Tuluvas

Mangalore, Nov 07, 2014: Tulu film ‘Chaali Polilu”  has brought me much closer to Tuluvas who have admired and appreciated my role ‘Gharwali’ in the movie, said actress Padmaja Rao.

 

Addressing  press persons at the Press Club here on November 7, Thursday, she said   was grateful to the film producer and directors for offering her a different role in the movie. The film  has proved that a Tulu movie can be a grand success provided it is of good quality, is ably directed and has a good storyline, she further added.

Film producer Prakash Pandeshwar who also spoke, said ‘Chaali Polilu’ had hit a new record within a week of  screening  and that its earnings crossed Rs 45,79,776 in ten theatres in DK and Udupi districts.

 The film has seen  houseful shows in all theatres. It will be released even in Kasargod, Sullia, Puttur and other places in the days to come. The ‘Chaali Polilu’ team will then head to Bangalore, Mumbai and even abroad for screening, informed Veerendra Shetty Kavoor, Director.

Executive Producer Jagannath Shetty Baala,actor Lakshman Kumar Mallur  and others were present.
