Action against flouting parking norms: Mayor Kavitha Sanil

Mangaluru, Jul 26, 2017 : Mayor Kavitha Sanil acted firmly against illegal parking ,  petty shops  and street vendors on footpaths on July 26, Wednesday.

 

 

The MCC team started the insepction from from PVS circle accompanied by DCP Hanumantharaya and ACP (traffic) Tilakchandra against illegal parkings, sign boards  and  street vendors on footpaths.


Mayor said that the  vehicles that are illegally parked on the road have only added to the traffic problems on the road. No action has been taken to deter motorists from flouting parking norms on the road.  Many complaints have been received by pedestrians about the petty shops and vendors on footpaths, the MCC has alotted the particular palce for them but not utilising it yet.

MCC have issued instructions to traffic cops to take strict action against those who violate parking norms.MCC is planning to solve traffic issues in the city, and this is the first step in the plan. In the coming days, officials will shut all footpath businesses in the city.
