Act of political vendetta against D K Shivakumar, alleges Siddaramaiah

Mangaluru, Aug 31, 2019:   Former chief minister Siddaramaiah has said that   the ruling dispensation was resorting to political vendetta against former minister  D K Shivakumar.

Siddaramaiah was speaking to reporters at the Mangaluru International Airport on August 31, Saturday. The former CM has arrived in the city with the objective of visiting  the flood affected places of the district.

He said the Enforcement Directorate was being misused  with malafide intentions against Shivakumar.

On the Centre’s decision to merge major banks, Siddaramaiah said he was not of the view that banks could be strengthened with merger. He also alleged that the Central interference has increased  in all banks including Reserve Bank.

Pointing out that the GDP was 8 to 9% during Manmohan Singh regime, he said the present downward slide in GDP was owing to the economic policies of the Modi government.

Siddaramaiah is scheduled to visit Pachanady and speak to the affected people due to garbage slip. He is also scheduled to visit Belthangady and Dharmasthala. At 4 pm he will address party workers at  Kudmul Ranga Rao Hall.
