Accused in house burglary case arrested ; stolen jewels weighing 185 gms seized

Belthangady, Dec 26, 2014 :  Punjalakatte police have arrested a  person in connection with the theft in a house in Madanthyar recently. The arrested man Asif Iqbal has been produced before the court.

The theft was reported from the house of businessman Mohammad Nazeer in Maladi village on November 19. The  police have also  recovered 185 grams of jewellery out of the stolen 496 grams of jewellery which was reported stolen.

The value of the stolen goods has been estimated at Rs 12,40,000. The arrest was made by a police team led by Bantwal ASP Rahul Kumar, Belthangady Circle Inspector BR Lingappa and other police personnel.
