Accused in Sharath Madivala murder case surrenders

Bantwal, Mar 02, 2019: Khalander Nisar (27) of Panolibail in  Sajipamuda village, who was the second accused in the  RSS worker Sharath Madivala murder case of Bantwal, has surrendered before the local court on March 1, Friday. He has been remanded to judicial custody and shifted to the Mangaluru prison.

Sharath was hacked to death  at B C Road on July 4, 2017. Police have until now arrested a total of 17 persons in connection with the case.

It is learnt that Nisar chose to surrender after his earlier bail applications were rejected by the District Sessions Court and High Court.
