Accused arrested in Jaleel Karopdy’s murder case are from Sangh Parivar: Ramanath Rai

Mangaluru, May 01, 2017 : The persons arrested in connection with the murder of Karopady gram panchayat vice-president Abdul Jaleel belonged to the Sangh Parivar alleges Minister for forest, environment and ecology B Ramanath Rai.

Addressing the press at Circuit house on May 01, Monday Rai said that  Jaleel was a good youth leader who had social concern,murder of Jaleel is a part of a larger scheme to disturb peace in the district. Investigation into Jaleel’s murder will focus on possibility of involvement of more anti-social elements in the crime. It is evident that attempts are being made to divert the direction of the case. The police have arrested 11 persons in connection with the case  most of them belong to Sangh Parivar.

 

Rai said that steps will be taken to install cameras in all the gram panchayats across the state as per a directive from the department of rural development.

 

MCC Mayor Kavitha Sanil, Ibrahim Kodijal, corporator Shashidar Hegde and others were present.
