Accountant from Udupi found dead in company quarters in Muscat

Udupi, Dec 11, 2018: A young man employed as an accountant in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman, was found dead in his room  December 9, Sunday. The deceased is identified as Guruprasad Upadhya (27).


AccountantHe hails from Udupi, a former student of St Mary’s College, Shirva and Milagres Junior College, Kallianpur. He completed his schooling from the Poorna Prajna College, Udupi.

According to the available information, the cause for his death is supposed to be a heart attack. It is said that Guruprasad Upadhya  previously had epileptic seizures. However, he was perfectly fit and worked  until the previous evening and went to rest as usual.

As per details given by Dilip Correa who had employed the deceased as an accountant, he had called but the man  did not report to the office as per the office schedule. Further inquiry revealed he had gone to sleep in his room,  it was found that the door was locked from inside and the door had to be broken open.  Guruprasad Upadhya  was found motionless on his bed. Paramedics who arrived at the venue pronounced him dead.  Arrangements are under way for the repatriation of the mortal remains of the deceased.
