Academy Chiefs honoured in city

Mangalore, May 22, 2014: The growth and development of any language is vital for the growth of the community and society, said B Subbayya Rai, President of Kerala Tulu Academy.

 

 

 

He was responding to a felicitation conferred on him along with Janaki Brahmavar and Roy Castelino, Presidents of Tulu and Konkani Sahitya Academy  respectively at a function organized  by the Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy in the city on May 21, Wednesday.

Outstanding  Beary community members Ibrahim Tannirbavi, U A Kasim Ullal, K P Abdul Khader Kuttettur, Mohammed Maripalla, Raheem, Ahmed Bava Bajal, V A Ismail Madani, Hamza Malar, Mohammed Baddoor, K Mohammed Chikmagalur, Basheer Baikampady, Ismail Moodushedde, Zakariya Venur and Charmadi Hasanabba were awarded with mementoes.

Umarabba, Registrar of Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy and others were present.
