Absconding accused arrested in connection with death of 2 at Karinje hills

Moodabidri, Mar 29, 2018 : Police on March 29, Thursday have  arrested a person in connection with the death of two friends at Karinje hills, recently.

 

 

The accused arrested is identified as Shekar (23), a resident of Aranta Bakyaru. He was missing from March 20.

Reports said that Greshion Rodrigues and Praveen Tauro had been to the forest of Karinje hills for trekking.Both had left in a Red Bolero vehicle  but did not return even after  two days following which their families have informed the police. Their bodies were found near Aranta Bakyaru fields on March 22. Shekhar and another had gone missing soon after the incident.  Police has taken Shekher into custody. During interrogating he had accepted teh fact that they had laid the electric wires to hunt wilds animals and the duo got electrocuted.

The search for the other accused is on . Investigations are underway.
