ANF personnel get first aid refresher at MMMC

Mangaluru, June 24, 2016 : ANF,  Personnel of Anti-Naxal Force of Karnataka combating naxalites were given  first-aid training at a workshop conducted by MMMC, Melaka Manipal Medical College, Manipal University here on June 23, Thursday. In all, 80 police personnel were present in a first of its kind association between the anti naxal forces who work in extreme conditions combating naxal menace and medical and para-medical personnel for the day-long workshop.

They were provided hands-on training in various aspects of job related medical perils including snake bite, heart attack, gunshot injury, basic life support, all of which would come in handy in their day to day operations in rough and demanding terrain of Western Ghats.

Dr H Vinod Bhat, vice-chancellor, Manipal University inaugurated the workshop. Udupi SP  K Annamalai  was instrumental in arranging for this unique workshop.
