ANF cop dies of cardiac arrest during combing operation

Mangaluru, June 17, 2018: Rangaswami (48), an Anti-Naxal Force policeman of the Karkala camp succumbed to cardiac arrest during the combing operations which were underway at the Madappady reserve forest area of Belthangady taluk on Saturday after suspected Naxals had visited a house in a rubber plantation in the area on Friday evening.

The terrain was tough and the rains had made the area further slippery  when Rangaswami suddenly collapsed and passed away. The  ANF personnel also had a tough time in bringing the body from the forests upto Kotegudde  from where it was taken to a hospital.

The deceased Rangaswami hailed from Bhadravathi in Shivamogga district.
