ANF comes under fire at a huge protest rally by PFI

Mangalore, April 21, 2014: At a huge rally organised by the Popular Front of India in front of the DC office in the city on April 20, Sunday, the Anti-Naxal Force came under fire  for  shooting dead a cattle transporter at Shringeri check post on Saturday.

Participants of the meeting demanded stern action against those responsible for the incident and alleged that the government has not responded properly in the aftermath of the incident.

They also urged the government to hand over the case to the CBI. Demanding more compensation they also sought a job for the brother of the slain Kabeer.

Shafi Bellare, PFI leader who addressed the protest rally, alleged that the Congress government had failed to keep up its promise to protect the interests of the minorities.

He also alleged that the Bhajrangdal of acting hand in gloves with the police department in executing such acts.
