AI Flight from Dammam 2 days late at M’lore

Mangalore, Oct 22, 2014:  After two days of delay, passengers on board of Air India Express from Dammam landed at Mangalore International Airport on Tuesday October 21.  Airport Director Radhakrishna confirmed the happening to media.

air indiaA local resident who travelled sated that, The Air India Express flight was scheduled to start its journey on Saturday Oct 18, at 8 pm and arrive Mangalore on Sunday Oct 19 at 3.30 am. We were told that, owing to technical snag, the flight was delayed. Initially, the authorities informed us that there will be delay by four hours. Later, they shifted all passengers to a hotel in Dammam. Good facilities were provided the unusaual technical snag caused the problem, women and children were  inconvenienced greatly.

Another passenger who was supposed to attend a marriage on Sunday oct 19 and return back on Wednesday oct 22,  could not attend the marriage.

Air India Station Manager stated that owing to technical snag, the flight was delayed. Though the technical experts attended, they failed.  As a result, experts from Kozhikode were sent to Dammam on Monday Oct 20. As the problem could not be fixed, the passengers were flown in Kozhikode-Dammam flight. There were 129 passengers from Mangalore and 29 from Kozhikode. The uncertainty of modern air travel have become uncertain.
