ACB traps Puttur Tahsildar while receiving bribe

Puttur, June 21, 2019: ACB sleuths have trapped Puttur Tahsildar Dr Pradeep Kumar red handed while he was  allegedly receiving bribe from the owner of a catering firm on June 20, Thursday. It has been alleged that the  Tahsildar had demanded Rs 1.25 lakh bribe for clearing bills of a catering contractor who had supplied food during the recent Lok Sabha elections.

 

The catering contractor was supposed  to be paid Rs 9.37 lakhs  but when the tahsildar reportedly demanded bribe he had complained to the ACB.

On Thursday the Tahsildar was trapped while he was accepting bribe. The arrested Tahsildar was on probation.
