Kundapur, Mar 10, 2017 : ACB sleuths who raided the residences and office of Shivaram Acharya, the Range Forest Officer of Mookambika forest range in Kollur on Thursday have unearthed disproportionate assets worth lakhs of rupees
Over 30 ACB sleuths led by ACB Inspector Satish from Udupi led the raids which were conducted simultaneously on the house of the officer at his native place Ajri, his present place of stay at Kambadakone and office at Kollur.
Gold jewellery worth Rs 10.8 lakh, cash of Rs 8.63 lakhs, a Maruti 800 car, a Maruti Swift, Kambadakone house worth Rs 70 lakhs, a 10 cents land at Nagori, 2 complexes and 27 cents land at Ajri and 10 bank accounts were unearthed during the raid.
The raid followed a complaint that the officer had amassed vast wealth. The officer’s wife is a teacher at a government school and his house at Kambadakone was built three years ago.
DySPs Sudhir Hegde, Arun Kumar Kollur, and other personnel took part in the raid.
