ABVP holds ‘Vivekotsava 2014’ to conclude 150th Birth Anniversary celebration of Swami Vivekananda

Mangalore, Jan 7, 2014: Akhila Bharathiya Vidyarti Parishad(ABVP) organized ‘Vivekotsava 2014’ to mark the valedictory ceremony of 150th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda held at Town Hall on Jan 7, Tuesday.


Speaking as the chief Guest, ABVP state president Dr B V Kumar, said that our country is suffering from superstitious belief and poverty and this is the only possible by the youths to remove it from the grass root level and strengthen our country.

He also said that some vested interests in the nation have been discouraging patriotism among youth which were preached by Swami Vivekananda.


Buntara yane Nadavara Mathr Sangha president Ajith Kumar Malady, Karavali Educational Institution founder president Ganesh Rao, ABVP state president Ramesh K, ABVP city president Balakrishna, secretary Puneet and others were present.


Earlier a Shobhayatra was held from Jyothi circle to Town Hall. As many as1, 000 ABVP activists participated.
