A son who worships his father every day

Udupi, June 21, 2020:   It is Father’s Day today. On this memorable day here is the story of a person from Katapady in Udupi who  along with his family members  worships his  late father not only on Father’s Day but each and every day. He is Indushekhar Suvarna, a traditional medical practitioner from Katapady Enagudde.   Indushekhar’s father  Kalattur Garadimane Soorappa Pandit had passed away on May 27, 1985. Soorappa was a Darshana Patri at the Baidarkala Garadis at Kalattur, Paniyur. He too was a traditional medical practitioner.

 

Indushekhar  installed a bust of his father  on the latter’s 35th death anniversary 11 years ago.  Since then, his day  begins  by praying before his father’s bust. His wife and two daughters also offer their prayers every day. Once a year the family also offers Annadana to the  residents of the town in memory of late Soorappa.
