Mangaluru, Oct 17, 2017: In a novel protest against the pothole filled road near the Kankanady Market on October 17, Tuesday, members of the MCC Civic Group and Aam Aadmi Party floated paper boats on the gaping potholes filled with water. The protestors dressed as fishermen also tried a hand at fishing in the puddles.
Gerald Towers, social activist who was part of the protesting team highlighted the pathetic condition of main roads which turn from bad to worse whenever it rains, also resulting in accidents.
The protestors demanded that the MCC took early steps to repair the Kankanady Market Road which is in a bad shape.
