Puttur, Feb 17, 2015: In a kind gesture and also a splendid example of religious tolerance and amity, the Jamaat Committee of the Sunkadakatte Mohiuddeen Jumma Masjid  recently provided accommodation to pilgrims enroute Subrahmanya and Dharmasthala.

A fine example of communal amity

A few pilgrims from Kodagu had recently set out on a pilgrim tour by foot and had planned to visit Subrahmanya and Dharmasthala. However, darkness had set in by the time they reached Sunkadakatte near Kadaba. The pilgrims later sought the help of the locals  to find accommodation.

On coming to know about their plight, the  Jamaat President Abdurrehman Kalara and other members offered them place for stay at the Darul Islam Madrasa. The pleased pilgrims rested at the Madarasa during the night and left the place in the morning, but not before expressing their deep gratitude to the Committee for its help.
