A day after heavy rain, cracks visible on Pumpwell flyover embankment

Mangaluru, April 26, 2020: In a shocking news, cracks have developed on the newly  constructed Pumpwell flyover. It is believed that the heavy rains that lashed the area on Saturday had led to the formation of the cracks.

During rains either sides of the service road too  were filled with rain water and slush. The authorities had later hastily removed the same using a JCB.

 

 

 

 

Presently,  vehicular movement on the bridge is less due to lockdown. However  once the lockdown is lifted this would once again be a busy road and  the cracks would only be inviting more danger.

Unscientific works are blamed for the cracks in the flyover.
