A case of moral policing - 3 men in judicial custody

Mangalore, Aug 28, 2014: According to reports, an incident of moral policing has surfaced. A youth filed a complaint in Urwa police station to the effect that late evening on August 27, he had been to a mall to watch a movie with a girl from a different community. When they came out after the movie, three persons allegedly used abusive language and threatened them with dire consequences.

The accused have been identified as Esham (21), Irfan (20) Saddath (26). Based on his complaint, the police arrested all the three accused and booked them under several IPC sections.

the 3 accused were produced in the third JMFC court on Aug 28, they were remanded to judicial custody till September 19, by the said court.
