9 candidates in fray in DK Lok Sabha constituency

Mangaluru, April 09, 2024: A total of nine candidates are in the fray in Dakshina Kannada Lok Sabha constituency where elections will be held on April 26.

 

Of the 11 candidates who filed nominations, the documents submitted by 10 were in order. On Monday which was the last day for filing nominations, Satish Boodumakki who had filed nomination as an independent, withdrew from the fray.

Presently nine candidates are in the fray. They are Padmaraj R of the Congress, Brijesh Chowta of the BJP, BSP’s Kanthappa Alangar. Karunada Seva Party’s Durgaprasad, Uttama Prajakiya Party’s Manohar, Karnataka Rashtra Samithi’s Ranjini M and Independents Deepak Rajesh Coelha, Maxim Pinto and Supreeth Kumar Poojary.
