7 pairs enter wedlock at mass marriage event of Biruver Kudla women’s wing

Mangaluru, Dec 2, 2018: A mass marriage ceremony organised at the Shree Gokarnanatha Shrine at Kudroli on December 2 by the Women’s wing of Biruver Kudla saw as many as seven pairs tie the nuptial knot.

Former union minister B Janardhana Poojary and Sri Paramananda Swamiji of Shivagiri Mutt blessed the couples. This was the first mass marriage ceremony organised by Biruver Kudla women’s wing.

The brides were provided saree, golden Mangalasutra and toe ring while the grooms were given dhoti, shirt and shawl.

The newly wed couples later offered prayers to the Lord at the shrine.

Kudroli Temple office bearers including President H S Sairam, Devendra Poojary, Madhava Suvarna, Padmaraj R, Vice president of Temple Development Committee Urmila Ramesh Kumar,  Biruver Kudla President  Uday Poojary, women’s wing Chief Vidya Rakesh  and others were present.
