68-yr-old woman murdered, ornaments taken away

Udupi, Feb 14, 2020:  A woman was found murdered at her house at Nittoor here and her gold ornaments taken away.

 

According to the police, unidentified miscreants entered the house of Malathi Kamath (68), between 8 p.m. on February 12 and 7.30 a.m. on February 13 and smothered her to death with a pillow.

They later took away the gold ornaments which she had worn and also other gold ornaments and Rs. 60,000 in cash kept in the cupboard.

The exact value of the gold valuables taken away was not known.

A case has been registered at the Udupi Town Police Station. Investigation is on, the police said.
