65 year old Kuloor bridge unsafe to be closed soon

Mangaluru, Oct 03 2018: The DK DC Sasikanth Senthil on October 1, Monday informed that the old Kuloor bridge on National Highway 66 will soon be closed for traffic.

The NHAI which had recently undertaken a survey of bridges under its network, in its report, deemed that the 65-year-old bridge across the Phalguni (Gurupura), connecting Panambur to Mangaluru is unsafe for travel.

DC Senthil mentioned that once the NHAI comes up with an alternate traffic plan, a magisterial order for closure of the old bridge will be issued.
